Dr. Ali Akbar Salehi, head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, who is in Italy to join the 20th Edoardo Amaldi Conference about the development and peaceful use of atomic energy organized by the Accademia dei Lincei, visited National Laboratory of Frascati.

It will start in January 2018 a new edition of the National Laboratory of Frascati’s yearly program, Educational: a rich and varied range of initiatives designed for Students, Teachers and General Public.

Last July the KLOE-2 experiment successfully completed its third data-taking period (Run-III) at the DAΦNE Φ-factory collider.

4-6 October, National Laboratory of Frascati It will start on the 4th of October the XVII edition of Incontri di Fisica 2017,an educational and training course in Modern Physics for high school teachers from all over Italy organized by LNF.

On Friday 8th of September 17.00 h, Auditorium of Convitto Nazionale “Amedeo di Savoia duca di Aosta” – Tivoli On the 100th anniversary of the birth of the physicist Marcello Conversi, the Rotary Club of Tivoli, under the patronage of the municipality, will offer the chance to watch “I ragazzi di via Giulia”, a documentary dedicated to the Conversi-Pancini-Piccioni experiment.

The first micro-RWELL, produced in 2009, easily fitted inside a drawer of the KLOE/LHCb clean room. It had an active area of 5 x 5 cm2 and it had not even been set on a PCB yet. 

At the beginning of 2017 a new instrument – on the cutting edge of 3D Printing – started to operate in our Labs.

Catalina Oana Curceanu, LNF senior researcher, won the prestigious price Emmy Noether Distinction for Women in Physics 2017, established by EPS,  European Physical Society.

In the international competition “Beamline for schools 2017″, organized by CERN, the win goes to Liceo Scientifico Statale “T.C. Onesti” of Fermo.
