From the 30th of March to the 3rd of April Frascati National Laboratories will host the 10th edition of INSPYRE – International School on Modern Physics and Research – the international school in English language addressed to students in their last year of high school from all over the world. The topic of this year is: “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the… Universe“.

INFN Frascati National Laboratories have always stood out for the special attention to aesthetic and functional aspects of the buildings hosting their offices and infrastructures. Aesthetic quality and comfort appear to be, indeed, key elements in providing a pleasant and stimulating working environment.

At its sitting of the 14th of January, the INFN Executive Board adopted the Ministerial Decree with which Dr. Pierluigi Campana is appointed MIUR vigilant member of the Executive Board.

The European Commission has recently approved the CREMLINplus project (Connecting Russian and European Measures for Large-scale research INfrastructures). In the frameworks of Horizon 2020, 25 ME have been allocated for 35 European and Russian institutions and organizations to participate in development of the 5 Russian major mega-science projects

The LNF territory includes about 35.000 sq. of green areas (almost one third of the total area) and hosts more than 250 trees and several plant species.

November 25 is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1999.

A delegation of Chinese scientists of Sun Yat-Sen University, on November 18th visited Frascati National Laboratories. Sun Yat-Sen University, that has a century-old tradition, is becoming an academic and research pole and an excellence cultural center in the panorama of south China.

INFN Frascati National Laboratories are glad to announce the opening of registration for the 2020 LNF Educational Program. Next January we will be waiting for you with a new range of initiatives addressed to Kids, Students, Teachers and General Public.

SABINA (Source of Advanced Beam Imaging for Novel Applications) is a project that will be co-funded with an amount of 4.5 M€ by the Regione Lazio, with POR-FESR 2014-2020 funds, for the realization – at Frascati National Laboratories – of a research facility which will be made available also to external users.

The ALICE group at the Frascati National Laboratories has successfully completed its quota of the production of the new silicon pixel vertexing and tracking detector of the ALICE experiment at CERN.
