On May 18, the first edition of the project ACME – A Contest in MEchatronics promoted by Unindustria and ITS Meccatronico del Lazio Academy in collaboration with the Frascati National Laboratory ended. Involving more than 130 students from 8 high secondary schools across the region, the initiative reached its final stage during an event held at the Benito Stirpe Stadium in Frosinone, where the eight finalist teams presented their projects to a jury made up of representatives from LNF and Unindustria.
ACME – A Contest in MEchatronics is an innovative contest conceived to bring high school students closer to the world of mechatronics, scientific research, and advanced technologies through real applications. The participants were challenged to develop a system for characterizing a solenoidal magnetic field intended for operational use at Frascati National Laboratory.
The first prize was awarded to IIS Alessandro Volta of Frosinone, which stood out for the quality of its project and its ability to effectively meet the technical objectives of the challenge.
