Industrial seminar “Magnets and vacuum: Accelerator technologies for an open laboratory”
The Frascati National Laboratories (LNF) of the National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN) carry out an intense activity of technological research whose products offer applications in different areas of both social and industrial interest, as well as in fundamental research. Through this cycle of seminars, each one dedicated to technologies and facilities relevant for a certain sector, LNF is willing to continue the dialogue opened with other Bodies, Universities and Enterprises in occasion of the Enterprise Open Day held in June 2017.
On Tuesday 28th of May it will take place the 1st appointment of the 2019 edition of SeminarIndustriali (Industrial Seminars).
Constructing an accelerator involves a wide and differentiated variety of technologies, from those related to the development of electromagnetic components for magnetic fields to vacuum technologies, up to the ones used to check the quality of magnetic elements. During this meeting David Alesini and Lucia Sabbatini will outline the services offered by LNF in the field of magnetic measures and design, as well as in ultra-high vacuum thermal treatments, within an infrastructure that aims at opening up also to private businesses at both local and national levels.
