OpenLabs – Moving into Science

Frascati National Laboratories are getting ready for the 2019 edition of OpenLabs, the traditional open day devoted to Science and designed to satisfy enthusiasts and curious of all ages. In conferences and seminars, the actual protagonists will present the most recent discoveries and possible future accomplishments of Science. LNF will be open all day to show the instruments of our researchers. The program will include guided tours, interactive demonstrations and show-lessons to reveal the Physics hidden in everyday experiences such as music, sport and play. Moreover, it will be possible to visit both DAFNE – the Italian accelerator for Particle Physics, and the Visitor Centre, a permanent exhibition addressed to those who want to learn about Particle Physics, accelerators as well as the activities of the National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN). Special attention will be paid to future scientists, with a series of special initiatives and play-based learning programs aimed specifically at children and teenagers.
It will be arranged a non-stop tasting area. You can also have lunch at the Laboratories’ canteen. Pedestrian access only. Visitors are allowed to use the free parking next to Tor Vergata train station, in via della Perazzeta, about 50 mt from the LNF entrance.
