Attosecond XFELs are the subject of an intense research program at LCLS and other laboratories worldwide. I will discuss recent advances in the field: from the extension of attosecond science to high-repetition rate XFELs, to the demonstration of attosecond hard x-ray pulses using amplified stimulated emission in atomic lasers.
