LNF 2018 Educational program: meeting science has never been easier

It will start in January 2018 a new edition of the National Laboratory of Frascati’s yearly program, Educational: a rich and varied range of initiatives designed for Students, Teachers and General Public.

Based on many years of experience in spreading scientific knowledge, LNF activities are a valuable occasion for student orientation and can also be realized as work-related learning projects, expected to be carried out in the last three years of High School according to the new National Curricula.

The program for High School students includes Science Matinées, seminars at LNF and at schools, different kinds of internships and stages, in Italian or English, guided tours to experimental facilities and moments of encounter between school and work.

However, LNF does not forget the little ones: Edukids is a project created in order to introduce Primary and Middle School students to the fascinating world of Modern Physics, exciting their curiosity with captivating, interactive activities, including guided tours, chats with researchers, special areas during big events and training courses for their teachers.

Actually, LNF organizes refresher-training courses for Teachers as well as special lessons focusing on Modern Physics, aimed at spreading knowledge about hot topics and current discoveries that will enrich the annual school curriculum.

Moreover, Educational includes a series of proposals designed for General Public: from guided tours to science-afternoons, with exhibitions, theatre shows and presentations of book and films. A special opening to the public – OpenLabs – will take place in May.

Finally, a new element this year is AccendiScienza, a free e-learning platform for scientific dissemination, open to everybody, which gathers a large collection of LNF seminars and lessons about Modern Physics.
